BEFORE

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

Use my contact form to get in touch. From there, we will discuss what you are looking for and how we can achieve that together.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

Prices and all the information on what is included in different packages and sessions offered can be found here.

DO YOU DO GROUP DISCOUNTS?

Barns looking to book three or more horse and rider sessions may receive a discount on multiple sessions that are scheduled on the same day. Please note that this discount excludes black background sessions.

I’M NOT SURE WHAT SESSION I WANT.

No worries! You can see all of my offerings here, but we can chat to find the perfect fit or build a custom session just for your needs.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

I provide services to all of New England—that means Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, I am your girl! I am currently located in central Massachusetts and charge a travel fee of $.50 per mile over 50 miles from my residence. However, I do travel throughout the year and often offer services in those locations with limited availability. Keep an eye out on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming travel dates.

WHAT TIME AND LOCATION IS BEST?

For portraits, golden hour (aka the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset) is when the magic really happens. Because of New England’s heavy tree cover, I will typically schedule sessions around two or three hours before sunset. For black background images, a barn aisle or entryway with a clean, flat floor is required and is best shot when the sun isn’t hitting the entrance.

DURING

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Whatever you’re most comfortable in and makes you feel like yourself! When in doubt, patterns don’t always come across on camera the best, and neutral tones are always a safe bet.

HOW DO I PREP MY HORSE?

You'll also want to make sure your horse is clean and ready to go. “Ready to step into the show ring” is a good way to think of it, though braiding is always up to your personal preference.

Horses are unpredictable, so you can never be sure they’ll be on their best behavior. If you’re worried or they're naturally more energetic, a light lunge before the session is usually enough to take the edge off. Just be sure to time it so they're clean and dry by session time!

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

New England weather is pretty unpredictable, but don’t fret—we can reschedule due to inclement weather!

I don’t know how to pose.

I focus on the candid moments, so don't worry about posing. I'll instruct you where to move and make adjustments throughout the session, but the most important thing for you to remember is to relax and have fun! This is your chance to show off how much you love your horse.

I HAVE A CERTAIN POSE IN MIND, CAN YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN?

I can do my best to make it your own! I always ask that clients let me know of any specific ideas they have in mind before the session starts, so we can be sure to try and achieve those images before it is over.

Can I bring someone to the session with me?

Of course! Having a friend to cheer you on from the sidelines is always fun and can be a big help when it comes to getting ears up.

AFTER

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS AND HOW LONG AFTER MY SHOOT?

A link to your personal online gallery will be emailed to you with instructions on how to enter the gallery and download your images. Please allow 4-6 weeks from the date of your session to receive your images unless otherwise stated.

CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS?

You can! If more photos are included in your gallery than what you receive as part of your package, you can purchase additional photos at $15 an image.

CAN I SHARE MY PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Of course! As included in your session contract, no additional edits or filters are to be added to the images. Included photo credit and tagging is always preferable and appreciated when sharing online.

CAN I PRINT MY PHOTOS?

Please note that no printing rights to the images are included with a session, but there are options to purchase prints directly through your gallery. I work with a professional printing lab to ensure that photos are printed at the highest quality so they can last a lifetime. Trust me, it’s worth it.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?

You can find all products I offer here! Aside from regular prints, I offer canvas prints, metal prints, albums, and more. If you're interested in having something made after your session, let me know and we can work together to make it happen.
